Mission statement
The Naíonra Community Preschool is dedicated to providing quality childcare for children aged from 2 years 8 months to 5 years and 6 months in safe and caring surroundings. We offer the ECCE program to support early learning and development, and strive to nurture each child's curiosity, creativity, and confidence through play, learning, and meaningful relationships.
Ethos
At Naíonra Community Preschool, we believe every child deserves a nurturing and stimulating environment where they can grow, explore, and learn at their own pace. We celebrate diversity and inclusivity, respecting and valuing each child's unique background, culture, and abilities. Through play-based learning both indoors and outdoors and the ECCE program, we foster creativity, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of discovery, while building strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community.

Curriculum
Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a balanced mix of age-appropriate academic, physical, creative, and social activities. Guided by the principles of Aistear and Síolta and the National Early Childhood Curriculum Framework we create a nurturing learning environment that supports each child's holistic development and well-being. Each day includes opportunities for "free choice" play, allowing children to explore their interests, as well as time for emergent, child-directed learning experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, and creativity. Through these experiences, we aim to foster children's sense of identity, belonging, and confidence as competent and capable learners.
Play Activities- Our programs balance staff-led activities with free-choice play, allowing children to explore and move freely throughout the environment. Teachers guide, support, and supervise all activities, while social skills, self-esteem, and conflict resolution are nurtured through play in a safe and engaging environment.

Welcome to An Naíonra Community Preschool. We hope your experience with us is filled with fun, warmth, and support.
An Naíonra is a non-profit childcare preschool assisting our community for 39 years by providing quality enrichment programs for preschool children aged 2 years 8 months - 5 years 6 months.
While in our care our aim is to help develop each child's self-esteem by promoting intellectual, physical, linguistic, emotional, and social growth. An Naíonra provides a safe productive environment in which children can develop the ability to relate to others happily and learn to appreciate the rich diversity of people they will encounter in life.
Fifteen years ago, we opened this setting which consists of a reception area, two large classrooms which are named Seomra Dearg and Seomra Buí, each with adjoining toilet facilities, an indoor common play area and an outdoor play area.
